BIG GAME

The name says it all. A Band that speaks out it's ability and also it's heavy mass!!? Having all individual talents of Soul, Blues, Country, Retro and Classic Rock, they have played together in 2 earlier bands; "THE SOUTHERN REIGN BAND" and "THE STAINLESS STEEL BAND". Knowing and basically feeling each others musical abilities and antics, they decided to create and form the band " BIG GAME " and also a Production Company to record their current debut album, to be released later in the year. They perform  nightly at various outlets and functions, they have made a name for themselves in Kuala Lumpur's music scene as one of the more sort after bands. The 2 tracks on the Journeyman Album are a sampler of their music.

GERARD SINGH

Gerard Singh is a regionally renowned Singer, Songwriter and Musician. With a long run of Performances spanning well over a Decade. Gerard first started performing in Johor Bahru in the South of Malaysia in 1988, moving on to Singapore in 1989 for a brief stint, before returning back to Johor Bahru for 5 years. Soon after, he was awarded 1st Prize in the Carlsberg's acclaimed competition " Top of the Pubs " for a jaw-dropping Solo performance. In 1995, he moved back to the Klang Valley area of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, where he has been performing until today. 1996 saw Gerard as an active member of the much admired show band STAINLESS STEEL that held regular shows at fashionable outlets such as HARD ROCK CAFE, Blues Cafe and Uncle Chilli's. 

After 2 years, he decided to move in directions other than the Band. It was an Austrialian Wine Company, "YALUMBA" that honoured him together with 4 other musicians with an Award for remarkable contributions to the Local Music Scene.

Gerard is extensively involved in Jingle Productions nation wide ahving contributed to projects for: Carlsberg,Winfield,S.E.A. Insurance, WowFM,Ayam Brand Tuna Spread, Kentucky Fried Chicken,My Kad, Benson & Hedges,Pepsi Blue,Pencala Link and Anglia Shandy to name a few. Some of the recording studios he was involved in Jingle productions includes Betarecs,AddAudio,Syncrosound,Incognito,2AM and Scat Productions. A lot of the jingles he has done can be heard on air( Radio and TV )

Gerard's debut Album "A SLICE OF THE PIE" which was launched in 2004 has garnered a lot of attention from the local media. His Album was also nominated for 2 Awards this year in the Annual A.I.M. Awards ( Anugerah Industri Musik)



RAYMOND CHIA

Raymond Chia started his musical career in 1991 with a 3 piece Strolling and Stage Band named RAIN RHYTHM. In 1993 RAIN RHYTHM changed their name to the SOUTHERN REIGN BAND. The Southern Reign Band repertoire includes Country,Rock n Roll,Oldies,Retro,Classic Rock and also songs from the 60's and 70's. The Southern Reign Band later became a household name among friends and fans of Country and Western music. Besides being a Vocalist and Keyboardist, Raymond also arranges the songs and vocal harmony for the band. Other Instruments he played includes fiddle, Blues Harp and the Rhythm Guitar.

He left Southern Reign Band in 2002 to pursue his Solo career. He also played regularly as a Duo with Sherman Tan and ocassionally with Gerard Singh. His ability to sing and perform different kinds of music( pop, classic rock, country, retro, jazz etc...) has made him a much sought after musician for Private Functions and Corporate Events.

One of the Major highlights of his music career is when he Won the 2nd Runner Up for the Group Category at the Carlsberg CenterStage Competition( formerly known as Carlsberg Top of the Pubs Competition) with Sherman Tan in 2003. He has also performed vocal sessions for Gerard Singh's debut Album SLICE OF THE PIE which was nominated for 2 awards in the Malysian A.I.M. awards in 2005.

He has performed in many Corporate Functions which includes Shell, Fuji Xerox, ICI Paints and many more. Some of the venues he has performedat are in Hotels and Pubs in Kuala Lumpur and here are a  slection of them: Crossroads,Merchant Pub,The Pub,Concorde,Federal,Holiday Villa Hotels and Uncle Chilli's,Hard Rock Cafe,Bernards,Ronnie Q,La Bodega,1957,Talking Heads, Waikiki,Backyard, The Reef,Titus Blues Pub and many more....


SHERMAN TAN
Bass Player and Vocals

There is no other Entertainer like Sherman Tan. A well known Singer, Musician and Entertainer in the Local Pubs and Hotel Circuit. Sherman began his musical journey in 1989 in Kuantan Le Village resort on the East Coast of Malaysia as a Soloist. After a few years, he was part of RAIN RHYTHM a band which was later renamed SOUTHERN REIGN with a song repertoire ranging from Country, Rock n Roll, Retro, Classic Rock, 60's & 70's. The Southern Reign Band later became a household name among fans of Country and Western music the Band played in many venues In and Around Kuala Lumpur the Capital City of Malaysia.

In 1996 Sherman left the Band to continue his career as a Lead Vocalist and Bassist for a show band named STAINLESS STEEL which became a widely popular band. During his stint with Southern Reign and Stainless Steelhe played in many Corporate Functions and also had the opportunity to back up a famous Local Recording Artist  ZIANA ZAIN during a few of her concerts.

After Stainless Steel, Sherman later formed a Band called JJEDS in 1998, in which he performed along side Female Vocalist Jaclyn Victor, who later won the " Malaysian Idol " Competition in 2004. One of the most important Highlights of his career is when he won 1st Prize for the Solo Catergory at Carlsberg CenterStage Competition ( formerly known as Top of the Pubs) in 2003

Besides having a wide repertoire and a strong stage presence, Sherman is always able to get the crowd excited with his vibrant showmanship and rib tickling humour and jokes. With his musical achievements and years of experience in the entertainment industry. Sherman has earned his place in the Local music scene as a Great Entertainer and a Soulful musician
